Open Day Built Environment Debate
Last year's Built Environment Debate was a great success and the level of debating was intense. We will advise on the final format of the debate after all applications are recieved (see below for closing date).
The Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI) have generously agreed to sponsor the event again this year.
Format: Teams comprising of three members (two speakers and one substitute) will compete in up to three rounds of debate, judged by a panel of three independent judges. The rounds will depend on the number of applications recieved.
Topics: The competition is designed to raise awareness about the built environment. As such, the motion will relate to this central theme.
Eligibility: The competition is open to all secondary school students.
Closing Date: The deadline for applications is 12.00pm on the 18th of October 2019.
Draw: Depending on the number of applications, we may resort to a draw to fairly identify the eligble teams. This will take place on the 23rd of October 2019 and finalists will be notified by the 24th of October 2019.
Acceptance: Eligible teams must confirm their acceptance by 12.00pm on the 31st October 2019 by emailing email@example.com
Should confirmation not be recieved, it will be assumed that the offer has been declined.
