This unique MBA (Masters of  Business Administration) Professional Arts Management is a postgraduate degree awarded to students who have mastered the study of business applied to the Arts sector. The MBA degree is one of the most prestigious and sought after degrees corresponding to a Level 9 Qualification (90 ECTS credits). It provides graduates with the opportunity to develop their skills in managing, funding and leading an arts organisation. It is a career enhancing post-experience qualification designed for students who want to learn how to  manage successful events, create comprehensive and practical business and marketing plans and organise relevant programmes that appeal to the Arts community.   

What will I be able to do when I finish the programme?

The programme will prepare students for various careers not just in the Arts but also in the world of Business. Internationally recognised, an MBA equips students with knowledge that can be applied to a variety of real world business solutions. Within the Arts there are many opportunities for employment, such as: arts centres, museums, arts marketing, education, dance companies, disability arts organisations, tourism, arts councils, local authorities, art galleries, community arts and arts festivals to mention a few.

Entry Requirements

Bachelor of Arts Level 8 in Culture and Heritage or Bachelor of Business Level 8 or equivalent. Graduates of other disciplines are required to have completed the Higher Diploma in Business in Management (Level 8) or equivalent to be eligible for admission to the MBA programme. All applicants will be considered on a case-by-case basis. The department reserves the right to require applicants to attend for interview to determine their suitability for the programme.

Criteria to be considered will include academic qualifications, recognition of prior learning and/ or the applicant’s performance in GMAT or equivalent.For non-native English speakers: IELTS (6.0) or equivalent is required.
