Overview

This certificate programme enables learners to be fully conversant with current initiatives in the practice and research of early childhood education and care. They will understand contemporary practice within the sector; the application of Síolta (the National Quality Framework for Early Childhood Education) in an early years setting and reflect on its effectiveness; leadership in early childhood services; and will gain knowledge of current regulatory and inspection procedures as they apply to early years settings.

This programme aims to upskill those with existing roles within early childhood or also to create a basis for further study in this area.
