The programme is designed to equip students with an understanding of the skills and knowledge required for effective management and government in contemporary youth and community work organisations. The course will cover topics such as: the role of management and its’ functions in Y&C work; management and Y&C work values; democratic management; working in teams and groups; developing effective teams; the role of supervision; motivating and empowering staff; managing resources, finance and projects; and effective governance in Y&C work.

If you are passionate about working with young people and wish to gain greater knowledge of this discipline, this certificate will give you the basis of knowledge required.
