Overview
This programme will develop a student’s knowledge of the legal issues affecting aquabusiness and the regulatory framework within which aquabusiness operates. The module also aims to cultivate an awareness of the emerging issues in this regard at consumer, government and industry levels.
On completion of this programme, students should be able to:
• Critically analyse contemporary issues relating to contract law;
• Comply with the requirements of company law and employment law, having the knowledge of its relevance to aquabusiness;
• Demonstrate awareness and knowledge of the regulatory environment in which aquabusiness operates including food safety, licensing and sustainability standards;
• Demonstrate knowledge of emerging issues in consumer relations, food safety and standards.
