Our certificate programme in IP Networks is specifically designed to meet current industry needs. While IP Networking has emerged as a key requirement for Information Communications Technology (ICT) employers, it is often absent from academic IT and electronics programmes. We have designed this programme to bridge the gap for current and prospective IT professionals.

On completion of this highly practical and technical programme, participants will understand the connection requirements for networks and routers and how data is transferred via these networks using TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/ Internet Protocol, a suite of communication protocols used to interconnect network devices).

Learners will be able to describe static and dynamic routing and how it determines the path for particular IP streams; as well as the configuration of this routing using Routing Internet Protocol (RIP). They will have demonstrative capabilities with management mechanisms for firmware and configuration information plus those required for password recovery on a standard switch and router.

Participants will also gain understanding of the functionality of Wide Area Networks (WAN), the major devices of WANs and configure the Point to Point Protocol (PPP) encapsulation for serial connections between standard routers.

Apply today and begin on your journey to develop your skills and employability in the field of ICT.
