Overview

On completing this programme, learners should be able to articulate their understanding of pluralism and acceptance of differences, encouraging a culture of respect for freedom and dignity, and an understanding of human rights and equality. They will have the ability to articulate and promote inter-culturalism and diversity in society based on equality and human rights frameworks.

Participants will understand the importance of effective working partnerships that empower civil society and public bodies to advance aspects of human rights and equality. They will gain a stronger awareness of their obligations to rights holders, and more effectively be held to account.

Also enhancing their role in service provision, learners will have the capability to identify and address specific or multiple human rights and equality issues of relevance to their work for people accessing their services. This also applies to staff within their organisation as they will be capable of monitoring equality and human rights compliance in service provision as well as in employment.
