Have you always wanted to explore the theory behind adult and community education? This certificate course gives learners the opportunity to learn about the historical, theoretical and philosophical underpinnings of adult learning. Participants will gain the knowledge required to develop and deliver an adult/community education programme with the skills to evaluate its performance.

The programme is aimed at learners with varied professional/academic backgrounds who may have an interest in becoming adult and community educators in the future.

This programme is a module from our MA in Child, Youth and Family Studies and offered as a standalone certificate for students who are interested in gaining a recognised qualification in this discipline.
