This programme aims to help participants to develop valuable transferable personal and professional skills. It introduces participants to the basic skills of project management, decision-making, problem solving, team working and communications. Project management is the process of leading the work of a team to achieve goals and meet success criteria at a specified time. The primary challenge of project management is to achieve all of the project goals within the given constraints.

On completion of this programme students should be able to;

  • Plan and implement the management of International Financial Services projects
  • Employ a systematic approach to decision making and problem solving
  • Use software packages relevant to project management, DEAP and ISBEM
  • Communicate effectively, using both oral and written methods
  • Work effectively in a team and critically evaluate factors relevant to team effectiveness
  • Reflect on their own personal and professional development, identify their development needs and put in place an action plan to address these needs
