This course provides a foundation of knowledge required to meet growing industry demands in Professional Sales Advice. The programme will enable students to become better sales professionals in developing skills and proficiency in a comprehensive curriculum of communication and selling and sales skills.

Students will study;

  • Communications and Customer Service - This module is designed to develop communication proficiencies for both academic purposes and the modern work environment. Appropriate knowledge, skills and attitude will be developed in the learner in order to communicate effectively and implement good customer service in practice. Emphasis will be placed on gaining the practical skills required in both aspects of this module.
  • Selling Techniques and Sales Skills - The emphasis in this course is on "action leaning". Class discussion and relevant case study material will be used to support the student's application of the theory. Students will also be expected to understand a sales team performance through analysing and presenting their recommendations on a sales management case study.


Entry Requirements

Applicants will be considered on an individual basis in accordance with the Institute policy on Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). IT Carlow reserve the right to require applicants to attend for interview to determine their suitability for the programme.
