Overview

This course will develop participants’ capability within the different elements of the Strategic Management Process. Participants explore the components of Strategic Analysis, Planning, Development and Implementation within the context of functional and organisational strategy and also align culture and values within organisation development.

On completion of this programme, graduates should be able to:

  • Analyse the elements of the Strategic Management Process;
  • Apply strategic analysis and alignment within an organisational context;
  • Apply a range of tools used during strategic planning;
  • Examine the role of organisational values in creation of an organisation culture that supports chosen strategies;
  • Discuss and explain strategic development and strategy maps;
  • Describe strategic implementation using Strategic Scorecards.

Entry Requirements

Applicants will be considered on an individual basis in accordance with the Institute policy on Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). IT Carlow reserve the right to require applicants to attend for interview to determine their suitability for the programme.
