This programme is aimed at up-skilling engineers and others who design and specify work. The course is supported by the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineering (IISE), gives students the skills of systematic recording and the critical examination of existing and proposed ways of performing work, as well as establishing standard times for completing prescribed tasks at a defined level of performance.

The skills training will include both theory and practical elements. It covers international best practice in work measurement and methods engineering and incorporates the recommendations of the International Labour Organisation (ILO), and utilises the British standards Institution (BSI) rating scales.

Entry Requirements

Applicants will be considered on an individual basis in accordance with the University policy on Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). SETU Carlow reserves the right to require applicants to attend for interview to determine their suitability for the programme.

This programme is funded under the July Stimulus plan plan
