This programme addresses the needs of senior leaders to put in place a process to improve leadership at all levels within the organisation and manage change to improve productivity, take advantage of new opportunities, deal with threats and to create and execute new strategies. This programme examines how to tap into leadership at all levels of the organisation; to create an environment or culture in which employees are encouraged to contribute and provide leadership appropriate to their role. The emphasis is on the practical application of the concepts covered through case studies and practical coursework.
At the end of this programme learners will be able to;

  • Demonstrate how recent developments in the behavioural sciences identify individual and corporate mindsets as the hidden drivers of outward behaviour and a key influence on the effectiveness of any organisation;
  • Analyse the type of culture prevalent within an organisation and the likely effect it is having on productivity;
  • Formulate strategies for implementing a culture change process;
  • Formulate strategies for improving engagement and motivation at all levels of an organisation’
  • Initiate changes needed to improve leadership effectiveness across all levels of an organisation;

Entry Requirements

Applicants will be considered on an individual basis in accordance with the University policy on Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). SETU Carlow reserves the right to require applicants to attend for interview to determine their suitability for the programme.
