Access to Information

The new SETU website will launch on May 1st, 2022, and you will be redirected to webpages familiar to you for information pertaining to your Campus.

The SETU website will evolve over time, and you will be informed of relevant or significant changes as they occur.

Access to Services and supports

Existing Campus based supports and services, and modes of access to supports and services will remain per campus from 1st May 2022 and during the academic year 2022/2023 to ensure continuity for SETU Learners. This includes for example Careers Services, Counselling, Chaplaincy, Medical, Financial, Disability, Learning Support and Exam accommodations.

Ongoing review of equitable supports and services within SETU will take place during the academic year 2022/2023. All students will be kept informed of any changes in advance.

E-mail addresses to access services will change, and those changes will be reflected on the relevant SETU Campus website pages. Details will also be available in the student handbook and on other promotional material such as Banners and Flyers.

Existing telephone numbers will remain the same and any changes will be reflected on the relevant SETU Campus website pages.

Library

Additional resources will be available to you in SETU. The physical resources, including study spaces and books will be available to all SETU Learners on both the Carlow and Waterford Campuses from Establishment Day, 1st May 2022

The current online resources that you have been using will remain in place after May 1st, 2022, until further notice.

Review and alignment of online resources and collections will take place during 2022/2023. All students will be kept informed of any changes in advance.

Sport, Clubs and Societies

Existing Campus based Sports Teams will remain in place on 1st May 2022.

Any changes to Campus based Sports Teams after that will be communicated to students in advance.

We anticipate that we will have newly branded gear for September 2022.

There will be no change to your Clubs and Societies membership on 1st May 2022, or to the procedure for formation of Clubs and Societies.

High Performance / Scholarship Programmes for new entrants

You do not need to re-apply. Your application will be processed under the same criteria for September 2022 entry.

High Performance / Scholarship programmes will be reviewed, and any changes implemented from the commencement of the academic year 2023/2024.

Access Programmes for new entrants

If you applied for the Carlow Access Programme or WIT Reach Programme, you do not need to re-apply. Your application will be processed under the same criteria for September 2022 entry.

Branding

We plan to launch new SETU Social Media handles, and we will be advertising our new handles on all existing channels from May 1st, 2022.

Communication with Key Stakeholders

Once we become SETU on 1st May 2022, we will continue to communicate with you through existing channels, e-mail, website, Student Handbook.
