IT Carlow Students’ Union is an autonomous and democratic representative organisation. As a team we represent the interest of our members on all matters relating to their education and their college experience. IT Carlow Students’ Union currently has three full-time officers as well as four part-time officers who have been elected to thoroughly represent every student registered at IT Carlow. The top three priorities focused on and reflected in our strategic plan for this academic term are: Academic Representation, Student Welfare and a prominent positive Student Experience.
Covid-19 has been a challenge for all but rather than fight it, we must adapt and work with the current climate it has provided. In order to adapt and stay engaged with students, we have moved the Students’ Union online and established a brand new Broadcasting Network. SUTV and SUPODCAST will be available on ITCSU.ie
Currently, the following roles are vacant and will require a by-election.
- Full-time Vice President of Education and Lifelong Learning
- Part-time Post-graduate Officer
- Part-time Wexford Campus full-time student officer and the
- Part-time Wexford Campus Lifelong Learning student officer
All the above positions are vacant but the e-mail addresses are still constantly being monitored. By-elections are scheduled to take place in November of the upcoming Academic term.
The Students’ Union is located on the ground floor of the Barrow Centre and is a welcoming environment to all students. The Students’ Union will re-open on September 21st with a new look. In line with public health advice we have introduced new measures to ensure each student has a safe and enjoyable experience in the Students’ Union. Some of the new services include;

- X-Box and PlayStation Consoles (Booking Essential)
- Student Shop
- Merchandise Store
- Information Point
- Seating Area
