Mr Dempsey is a chartered Civil Engineer, who completed his primary degree through the University of Abertay, Scotland in 2001. He completed his masters in Construction Project Management through WIT in 2010 and completed a HDip in GIS from UCC in 2012. He worked for a main building contractor for 8 years before joining SETU Carlow in 2008 as an assistant lecturer in the Built Environment department. He was part of a team that established an MSc in Management in the Built Environment in 2014 and is programme director for this course.

Academic and Research Experience

Lectures on a number of undergraduate courses in Civil Engineering, Construction, Architectural Technology and lectures at postgraduate level on the MSc in Management in the Built Environment.
