Dr Al-Juboori graduated with a BSc (1st Hons), MSc, PhD in Optoelectronics and Laser System Engineering from Nahrain University in 1999, 2001, 2005, respectively. Over a 15 year career, Dr Al-Juboori completed numerous scientific and research projects in highly regulated ultrafast optical imaging and laser technologies. He was previously a postdoctoral researcher at Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DESY)-Germany, and German Aerospace Centre (DLR)-Germany, before completing the second Doctor of Philosophy in the field of EUV/X-Ray Advanced Technologies from University College Dublin and RWTH Aachen University.
Additionally, He has a certified PRINCE2 (by AXELOS-UK) and Six Sigma (Yellow belt) Professional for project management and concentrated PMP courses, with 7+ years of experience focused on developing new scientific/business ideas in system engineering and leading high-impact projects especially in precision design, microstructure, and machine vision techniques. He is looking forward to applying the knowledge and experience in technological/industrial and innovative project management and develop new concepts especially, in some fields of disruptive technologies mainly in applications of augmented reality and teaching techniques of quantum computers concepts.

Dr Al-Juboori’s research activities involve the development of computer vision and optical systems design for ultrafast imaging techniques and scientific devices. His 2nd PhD research focused on the develop ultra-fast control and imaging system with computer vision algorithms to study and analyse the stagnation layer and spectroscopic features of colliding laser-produced plasma CLPP. Currently, his research focuses on the development of embedded systems with computer vision and augmented reality for biomedical applications as well as enhance the techniques for educational outreach for inspiring future photonics careers.
