Research Interests
Completed PhD at Trinity College Dublin 2002-2008.
Primary research activity in the fields of abrasive machining (grinding and polishing) with emphasis on cooling and effects of temperature on surface integrity and temperature induced damage. In the course of PhD studies developed novel methods for replacing traditional oil-based machining coolants with high speed air or mist jets.
Current research interest include improved heat transfer processes and liquid-to-liquid heat exchangers optimisation
