Dr Meade has been involved in various research projects for the last 13 years into knowledge management, team development, leadership development, learning, training and development. Her PhD research focused on looking at whether trust is a key factor contributing to distributed leadership in self-directed teams. At present her research interests are investigating Human Resource Development and Engagement in Small and Medium Enterprises as well as student engagement through learning.
Dr Meade has been in academia researching and teaching mainly in Organisation Behaviour and Human Resource Development subject area for the last 11 years at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level at various UK Universities before moving to Ireland. Here she has joined the academic post of Lecturer in Human Resource Management in the Business Department at SETU Carlow. She works and writes collaboratively with renowned Professors of Human Resource Development (HRD) and she is currently interested in research the HRD area in SMEs in Ireland. Dr Meade is also in the process of collecting data on a few projects while nearing submission of two papers to peer-reviewed journals in 2018.
