IT Carlow launches funded Certificate in Effective Leadership and Change Management through Centre for Insurance Risk and Data Analytics Studies (CIRDAS)

The Centre for Insurance Risk and Data Analytics Studies has launched its Certificate in Effective Leadership and Change Management through the Faculty of Lifelong Learning at Institute of Technology Carlow and the Insurance Network Centre (INC).

The fully funded level 8 certificate course is free of charge to participants. It aims to provide learners with an understanding of leadership tools and skills and their effective implementation in business. Participants will be armed with greater ability to organise, manage and lead innovatively within their organisations.

“The launch of this Certificate in Effective Leadership and Change Management, through the CIRDAS initiative, and delivered through the Faculty of Lifelong Learning, is a very positive development. Over the past 18 months, we have liaised with industry, developing educational solutions that seek to provide transversal skills to learners and organisations. Effective leadership in managing change for the turbulent times we live in was an area of development highlighted by many of our industry partners”,  commented Damian Rossiter, Development and Programme Manager at CIRDAS.

“This course has been developed in response to the Future Jobs Ireland Report 2019 which stated, ‘We must ensure that all our people have accessible upskilling options and that our education and training providers offer relevant and up-to-date courses which meet the needs of enterprises and workers.’ This is an essential upskilling opportunity for those in leadership roles or for those who want to transition into one.” said Lindsay Malone, Deputy Head of Faculty of Lifelong Learning.

“It is great to see the launch of this flexible and accessible course designed with the needs of the work-based learner in mind. This is one of a suite of courses in our CIRDAS offering which are designed to assist employees and employers engage in flexible and agile manner across a range of subject areas to develop new skills and equip for and lead in the workplace of the future.” commented Aidan Mahon, Manager at Insurtech Network Centre (INC).

The course runs online across eight consecutive weekly sessions from 7pm to 10pm from 26 April 2022. Participants will have the opportunity to progress to the CIRDAS Higher Diploma in Business in Innovative Data Generation, Analytics and Management.
