IT Carlow Student Awarded BAM Contractors / Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) Award 2011

IT Carlow recently hosted a CPD (Continuing Professional Development) Event on Biomass Heating.  Martin O’Neill, IT Carlow Lecturer at the Department of Built Environment was one of the main speakers at the event.  Following the event IT Carlow, BSc in Buildings & Services Management student, Darren Morris, was awarded “The 2011 BAM/CIOB Student of the Year Award.”  This award is sponsored by BAM Contractors in conjunction with The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).
 
BAM Contractors is one of Europe's largest building and civil engineering contractors and ranks in the top 5 of major Irish construction companies. BAM Contractors have a long track record of success in the CIOB Construction Manager of the Year Competition and are now delighted to support the CIOB in sponsoring the Student of the Year in Institute of Technology, Carlow.
