Green Light for Blue Light Summit
The Institute’s Extended Campus will participate in the Blue Light Summit taking place in Castlebar from 27th and 28th March where it will showcase courses to assist those interested in advancing their careers within the emergency, medical, search, rescue and defence services.
The Blue Light Summit is a combined seminar and trade & exhibition show for the Emergency (‘Blue Light’) services and responders and is open to current and retired members of the Principal Response Agencies (Garda/Police, Ambulance, Fire, Defence Forces, Coast Guard), Voluntary Emergency Services, Search & Rescue, Irish Prison Service, Security Services, Community First Responders, Private Ambulance Providers and associated trade suppliers.
The two-day seminar and exhibition will provide frontline personnel from the entire emergency services spectrum with training and development, knowledge of advanced tools in digital and technologies and also educational opportunities and career prospects.
Representatives from Extended Campus will provide face-to-face information and guidance to delegates on programmes such as Fire and Emergency Services Management, Critical Incident Stress Management, Event Controlling, Leadership and Performance Change, Work Measurement and Methods Engineering and Security and Aviation Management.
The event is support by Mayo County Council, National Ambulance Service, Mayo Garda Division and Mayo Fire & Rescue Service, and is being coordinated by Emergency Times.
