2019 Irish Survey of Student Engagement (ISSE) National Student Survey Goes Live
Have Your Say!
This year’s Irish Survey of Student Engagement (ISSE) National Student Survey went live this morning and will be available for the next three weeks, allowing students to create a large and valuable data set of their experiences of higher education. The ISSE survey, which began in 2013, has seen more than 163,000 students responded to the survey since 2016 alone. The ISSE survey for taught students (first year and final year undergraduates, and taught postgraduates) is specific to each institution and the results inform developments within institutions around the country while also providing a national set of data.
For the past six years, Institute of Technology Carlow students have given their feedback which has led to: quieter spaces in the library; new student areas; a free Blackboard app; new labs, lecture rooms and classrooms; new academic writing and support centres; more work placement and workplace training; better sports facilities; an increase in Masters level courses and a €1.2million investment in technology and equipment.
Students will today be sent a link to their email and can also access the survey on our website and at the special ISSE stand in the Central Services Building. Participants are entered into a draw to win some great prizes such as festival tickets, cinema tickets, and a €300 One-For-All voucher, amongst others.
