All Set for Open Day at the Institute

IT-Carlow-Open-DayFinal preparations are being made for Open Day at which takes place tomorrow (Thurs. 15th November) from 10am to 1.30pm

Secondary school students, guidance counsellors and parents will have the opportunity to speak to staff members and current students at the many information stands in the exhibition area, located in the Haughton Building and Barrow Centre. CAO points, entry requirements, careers, course progression, fees/grants, accommodation and how to apply for courses are some of the topics that can be discussed first-hand with a range of experts.

Focus on Higher Level Education is the main talk which takes place in the learning resource centre. Separately, the Institute’s Built Environment Department will host a debate on the construction industry in the Dargan Centre. Drop in and hear the many arguments for and against the motion!

Student Services will offer information on the Carlow Access Programme (CAP) and Disability Access Route to Education (DARE) on the first floor of the Burrin Building from 10.15am to 11.30am.

Tours of the library will also be available. Stop by the library desk to arrange a tour of this central spot on campus that houses 55,000 print items plus a vast array of ebooks and ejournals.
