Temperatures Rising Ahead of #CarlowRising Bumper GAA Weekend

The staff and students of Institute of Technology Carlow extends its best wishes and support to Carlow’s senior hurling and football teams ahead of two important meetings this weekend.

Saturday will see Carlow senior hurlers face Westmeath in Round 5 of the Joe McDonagh Cup. The following day is the Leinster SFC semi-final when Carlow take on Laois in Croke Park. The meeting will be a tight affair and everyone is crossing their fingers and toes for the opportunity to reach a Leinster SFC final.

Several past and present students, and staff members, will be involved in the weekend’s matches. They include: Damien Sheehan (Football Conditioning Coach), Alan Malone (Hurling Conditioning Coach) and Adrian Corcoran (Hurling Selector). Players include: Conor Lawler, Sean Gannon, Darragh Foley, John Murphy, Craig Kearney, Chris Crowley, James Doyle and Chris Nolan.

Institute of Technology Carlow became the new partner of Carlow GAA earlier this year and we couldn’t have foreseen the incredible journey our senior hurlers and footballers have seen in the last few months.

We look forward to a super weekend of GAA. Carlow Abú!  #CarlowRising
