Presentation of Academic Scholarships at IT Carlow


On Tuesday, 22nd March 2011, IT Carlow was delighted to present 44 talented students with Academic Scholarships across a range of courses. These Academic Scholarships were awarded to students who achieved the highest Leaving Certificate/FETAC points score in their chosen course at IT Carlow. It was a special evening of achievement with representatives from counties all over Ireland, including Carlow, Waterford, Kerry, Kildare, Wexford, Laois, Dublin, Galway, Monaghan, Cork and Leitrim.

The Academic Scholarship Award Ceremony took place at 4pm and attendees included scholarship winners and their guests, principals and guidance counsellors from their second level schools/FETAC/VTOS organisations, and Heads of School and Department at IT Carlow. Mr Brian Bennett, Institute Registrar opened the ceremony congratulating students on their achievements and acknowledged the generous support by Microsoft Ireland. Dr Ruaidhri Neavyn presented each recipient with their award, congratulated them on their achievements and spoke about the continued development of the Institute.
