School Across the South East Attend Inspiring Your Future initiative

Several schools from across the south east are today attending the second of three Inspiring your Future events, organised by Institute of Technology Carlow.

Inspiring your Future, which takes place on three separate days this month, invites secondary school students and staff to explore the different courses, facilities and supports provided by the Institute. The Inspiring your Future initiative was developed in direct response to feedback from guidance counsellors and is designed to help students with the challenging decision of choosing the right third-level institution.

The day will consist of a variety of talks and discussions on career choices, courses and the transition to higher education. Students also have to opportunity to select areas of academic interest with staff on hand to provide short presentations in areas such as engineering, computing, science and business. The day concludes with a tour of the Institute’s facilities and amenities.

Mary Bates, Schools Liaison Officer and organiser of the events, described the Inspire your Future initiative as “a great opportunity to get first-hand information on the courses and facilities at Institute of Technology Carlow that will help students make the right decision about their choice of third-level institution”.
