Institute of Technology Carlow Prepares to host FAI Coaching Conference 2017
Institute of Technology Carlow is preparing to host the FAI Coaching Conference 2017 later this week. Gerard Dunne, Dr. Seamus Kelly, John Peacock, Peter Rudbaek, Alan Kelly, Sue Ronan and Ruud Dokter are amongst the big names in coaching heading to the Institute for the two-day event which takes place this Thursday and Friday (24th and 25th November).
The aim over the two days is to introduce modern trends within the game, allowing for an opportunity for coaches to develop communities of practice and develop their theoretical and practical knowledge skills and attitudes towards the coaching competencies within the FAI. The conference includes a mixture of practical and theory-based workshops that will see attendees accredited with 15 hours of UEFA continued professional development (CPD).
In accordance with the UEFA Convention 15 hours of UEFA Accredited CPD must be completed every 3 years in order to keep one’s UEFA Coaching Licence valid.
The conference will be of particular interest to existing coaches with ambitions to complete a coach license, or current licence holders of National D, C, UEFA B or A
The FAI Coaching Conference will run from 6pm-9.30pm on Friday and 9.30am-4.30pm on Saturday.
