Final Year BA(Hons) Visual Communications and Design Exhibition Held
The BA(Hons) Visual Communications and Design students last week held their second and third-year showcase and final year Honours Degree exhibition.
The show was officially opened by Danielle Townsend, Chairperson of the Education Committee at the Institute of Designers in Ireland (IDI). Danielle congratulated the students on the high standard of work on exhibition and admired the diversity within the final projects, which ranged from illustration, to UX, brand design, packaging design, web design and game design.
In addition, Ms. Townsend complimented the industry-ready focus of the projects, which included: a corporate branding of the Dublin Metro system; a travel sharing app; a fashion design label; a complete hand-illustrated comic book, a campaign for autism awareness; a campaign for homelessness and a packaging design range for specific dietary groups.
The exhibition included the works of 17 second-year students, 13 third-year students and 13 final year honours degree students.
