Flags Fly High as IT Carlow Welcomes over 400 International students from 38 countries
The friendly campus atmosphere that IT Carlow is famous for is alive with smiles and laughter again this week as the Institute begins the new Academic Year, welcoming both Irish and International students from far and wide. From Austria to Zimbabwe, the number of International students attending Institute of Technology Carlow this year has increased as has the variety of nationalities now on campus. Intake of non-national students is based on a variety of specific programmes and partnerships developed over the last number of years by the International Office at IT Carlow. As International students arrive this week, they were greeted by IT Carlow staff and student volunteers who will spend the next number of weeks making sure they settle in to their new surroundings by assisting them with accommodation, orientation and English language classes.
