Inter-Library Loans

Books, journal articles or dissertations that are not available in the IT Carlow library may be requested from another library using the ILL service. Registered lecturing staff, final year and postgraduate students can submit an ILL request form which is available at the library desk. Requestors will be notified by email when the requested item has arrived and is available for collection.

Book Return Bin

A book return bin is available beside the issue desk. It may be used to return books to the library. Overdue books returned this way are still subject to fines.

I.T. Services

Facilities for printing, photocopying and scanning are available on all floors of the LRC via the multi-purpose machines.
Please note that items copied in the library are subject to copyright law.
Any problems using the multi-purpose machines or with print credit accounts/balances should be reported to the Computer Services Department on the second floor of the LRC. Print credit accounts can be managed via the Blackboard home page. Click here to access »
In the LRC, internet access is available from all computers.
Students and staff of IT Carlow can connect to Wi-Fi using their IT Carlow login username and password.
Visiting students from institutions participating in the Eduroam service can also use this service to obtain access to the Internet.
The Computing Services Helpdesk is on the second floor for all Computing/Printing/Wi-Fi queries.

Two self-service machines are available in Carlow Campus library - one is located near the issue desk, the other is by the front wall on the ground floor. They can be used to loan, renew and return books and to check your library record. Overdue books returned in this way are still subject to fines and any such fines will be added to the borrower’s account.
