COVID-19: Remote Library Access Arrangements in IT Carlow
13/03/2020
Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Institute of Technology Carlow Libraries are closed. However, extensive library services continue to be available 24/7 and library staff are available to help with all your queries.
Collections
EBooks and EJournals
All online electronic library collections, such as electronic journals, electronic books and online databases, are accessible remotely via the library website: https://www.itcarlow.ie/library/home.htm
Search for electronic journals, electronic books and other information through the ‘EDS Online Article, Database Search’ on the library home page, or through the EDS link on the Library Services page: https://www.itcarlow.ie/library/services.htm
Most databases can be searched from the ‘EDS Online Article, Database Search’
The exceptions to this are the following:
• Ebook Central (access to electronic books)
• JustisOne
• Lexis Nexis Company Dossier News and Business
• Lexis Nexis LNB Legal
• Westlaw UK
• Westlaw IE
These services can all be accessed and searched via the A-Z Database list page: http://libguides.itcarlow.ie/az.php
All online services require login - information on how to log in can be found at: https://libguides.itcarlow.ie/introduction/off-campus
Print Books and Print Journals
Borrowing and returning of, or access to, physical collections is unfortunately not possible when we are closed. However, items already borrowed will not incur fines during the period the library is closed.
Please consult the official IT Carlow communication channels for further updates.
