SETU Carlow Institutional Repository

The SETU Carlow Institutional Repository (http://repository.itcarlow.ie) is an online, open access collection of research output by academic staff, researchers and students of SETU Carlow. The content is made fully and freely available in accordance with copyright holder permissions. Research materials are centrally stored and preserved and the open access repository showcases the University’s intellectual output. Open access to the results of research enhances the visibility and the impact of the work, the author and SETU Carlow.

As the material is freely available online to anybody with access to the Internet, the potential readership of open access articles far exceeds that of articles where the full text is restricted to subscribers. This increased visibility can result in raising profiles and citations for researchers.

The SETU Carlow Institutional Repository holds peer-reviewed and non-peer-reviewed research output from the University including: journal articles, conference items, reports, reviews and working papers. All new research Masters and Doctoral theses awarded by the University, and not covered by embargo, are also made available on the SETU Carlow Institutional Repository.
