Medical Insurance & Wellbeing

All students must have private medical insurance for the duration of their study at IT Carlow.  We have negotiated an insurance arrangement with O'Driscoll O'Neill Insurance.  The insurance system operated by an insurance broker O'Driscoll O'Neill Insurance in Ireland is on behalf of Medicover.  Medicover Medical Expenses Insurance costs €120 for Third level students, which is good value.

To apply for your medical insurance you must have a valid Mastercard or Visa to operate the system. Once you have paid €120 the company will send you an insurance certificate.

Please ensure you provide the correct email address as this is where your certificate will be sent. When you make your payment by credit card you will receive the certificate which then can be submitted to the Visa Office (for visa requiring countries).  Please also retain your insurance certificate for evidence with immigration authorities on arrival in Ireland.

If you experience any difficulties or have any queries regarding your insurance application please contact:
