Coder Dojo at Institute of Technology Carlow

Coder-Dojo-at-IT-CarlowCoderDojo@ITCarlow  is an open source, volunteer led movement orientated around running free not-for-profit coding clubs (Dojos) for young people. Since CoderDojo is an open source movement, each Dojo is different and completely autonomous.
Our Dojos offer a Scratch, HTML and Project Dojo for a duration of 6-8 weeks.

• Tickets for each block are made available on a First Come First Served basis through prior to the commencement of each block.
• The club is open to young members from 8-16 years.
• The Club operates on Tuesday evenings from 6:30pm to 8:30pm
• For further information contact

Our Dojos are led and taught by volunteer students in the Institute of Technology Carlow and are divided into 3 classes:

• Scratch
• Project

Scratch is an entry level course in coding while HTML is slightly more advanced.
The project is aimed at ninjas that would like to develop their own ideas or projects.

At our Dojos, young people between 8 and 16 can learn how to code, develop websites, apps, programs, games and much more.
In addition to learning to code, members meet likeminded people and learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively. CoderDojo makes development and learning to code a fun, sociable and awesome experience.

Coder Dojo @ IT Carlow will be running for the following dates: 5th Feb, 12th Feb, 19th Feb, 26th Feb, 5th March, 12 March and 19th March.
