Computing Summer Camps

SETU is running its popular Computing Summer Camps in the Carlow Campus, these camps are supported by the HEA. The camps will introduce a number of computing areas to students in a fun and interactive way and provide them with a taste of studying computing in college.

The Creative Computing Summer Camp will take place from the 6 to the 7 of June, in it students will learn how to:

  • Sculpt in 3D
  • UI Design
  • Web Design

The Games Programming / Cyber Security Summer Camp will take place from the 8 to the 9 of June, in it students will learn how to:

  • How to program games
  • How to program a humanoid robot
  • Defend a hospital from attack
  • Computer forensics to solve a crime

These summer camps are open to any secondary level student in Transition Year or above. There are, however, a limited number of places, so book early.  The cost is €20 per student, which includes lunch each day.

Registration and Closing Date

The closing date for applications is 5pm, Friday 26 May.
