Overview

Restorative practice is a social science that sets out principles, approaches and behaviours which build and maintain healthy relationships and a sense of community and can resolve difficulties and repair situations where there has been conflict.

This certificate programmes gives learners the opportunity to explore the historical development of restorative practice and its range of contemporary applications. They will study the range of structures and types of facilitation used within the practice in various real-life situations. Participants will also gain an understanding of the use of restorative practice within the community and the roles and responsibilities involved in the process. They will gain an empathic understanding of the needs of victims and offenders and a strong awareness of their role as restorative practitioners.

Entry Requirements
