What is the Course about?
This full-time three year degree course provides an academic qualification for anyone interested in a career in business and management. Its general nature provides the student with a broad skill-base that will ensure that the graduate has a wide range of potential job opportunities. The first two years provide the student with the basics in core business subjects that form a foundation for the final.
What will I be able to do when I finish the course?
Graduates from this course, will be equipped with the knowledge, skills and competencies that are demanded in a modern business enterprise. The graduate will be qualified to work in a wide range of business settings such as industry, banking, public service, financial services and service industries.
What follow-on study opportunities are available?
Graduates are eligible for entry onto year 4 of the level 8 Bachelor of Business (Honours) in Business Management.

What are the minimum entry requirements?
Leaving Certficate: 5 subjects at Ordinary Level Grade D3 or better. Subjects required: English or Irish at Ordinary Level grade D3 or better and Mathematics at Ordinary Level grade D3 or better. Mature students will be interviewed and assessed on an individual basis.
Special Features
This programme provides maximum flexibility to the student in that a successful student can exit with a HIgher Certificate after two years or progress onto a n Honours Degree after successful completion of three years. The first two years provide a good foundation in general business that equips the student with the required skills and competencies required both for immediate employment in the workplace but also for further study. It allows students to keep their options open until the last possible moment.
