DESIGN SIXTEEN opens at Institute of Technology Carlow

DESIGN SIXTEEN, Institute of Technology Carlow’s newest design exhibition, has opened as an innovative showcase to the work of up-and-coming student designers at the Institute.
 
Focusing on the degree and masters degree programmes in Industrial Design, Product Design Innovation, Interaction Design and Design Research, DESIGN SIXTEEN showcases innovative design solutions for everyday problems.  A feature of the exhibition is the visual demonstration of where design can have impact with design exhibits specific to medicine, agriculture, sport and older adults.
 
DESIGN SIXTEEN also features exhibits from the Institute’s first graduates of its MA in Interaction Design, an exciting a dynamic programme sought after by the emerging industry nationally. Innovation abounds in areas such as addiction counselling, psychology of lighting, technology in education and digital news for the visually impaired.
 
DESIGN SIXTEEN is open to the public on the top floor of the Central Services Building at IT Carlow and continues until 4th June.
