Institute of Technology Carlow

The transition from school to college is a major change for most students. In order to assist students in this process and during their course, the Institute has developed a Tutor System.

On entry to a course, each student is allocated a Tutor who is a member of the academic staff. The Tutor is available for consultation on academic and related matters.

This Tutor System is part of the wider college support network and the Tutor can refer students to Student Services (e.g., Counseling or Health Service) when appropriate.
