Announcing the arrival of Koha – our new library management and online catalogue.

Koha, the world’s first open source integrated library system was developed by Horowhenua, a small New Zealand Public Library in 2000 and has continued to grow in strength and capability since this time. The term Koha translates as ‘contribute’ or ‘gift’ in Māori culture.

Koha offers users a personalised information searching and retrieval experience. In addition to searching our library catalogue for material held in the Library, Koha also allows users access to their account history [fines and payments] and library account information as well as comprehensive listings of both current and past loans.
