School Liaison
Second-level students of today are the third-level students of tomorrow. The Institute of Technology Carlow offers information materials, advice and support to second-level students, their families, Guidance Counsellors and teachers through its Schools Liaison Programme.
This programme aims to support prospective students in making informed career choices and consists of various events scheduled throughout the academic year.
These include:
• School Visits and Presentations
• Participation at Exhibitions
• Open Day at IT Carlow
Feedback on the relevance and quality of the Institutes Schools Liaison Programme is sought on a regular basis from Schools through their Guidance Counsellors. The Institute is particularly grateful to those Guidance Counsellors who have advised college staff on meeting the information needs of their students in an increasingly complex third level educational sector.
