| A range of financial, academic
and personal supports are available through the Access Office for
students attending IT Carlow.
For full-time STUDENTS IN FINANCIAL DIFFICULTY all students, once registered, are entitled to apply for:
• Financial assistance with the cost
of living, childcare expenses and the cost of academic materials,
transport & accommodation (financial documentation necessary)
For MATURE STUDENTS supports include:
• An orientation programme to meet other mature students
and staff which includes a computer skills training course
• Application to the Student Assistance fund for help with the cost of living, childcare expenses and the cost of academic materials, transport & accommodation
• Information on other funding available
For STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES we offer:

• On-campus mobility supports
• Academic supports individualised to suit each student's
learning needs
• Special individualised exam arrangements
• Provision of assistive technology and specialised equipment
• Assistance in applying for funding for extra tuition
and other academic supports
• Ongoing personal support and guidance
