What is the Course about?

This course prepares graduates for a career in business. Students develop skills in key areas of business including: management, marketing, economics, accounting and law. The applied nature of the course is designed to provide you with the skills needed to succeed in your chosen area of business.

Course Structure

The course equips students with the skills and knowledge to work in a business environment. Electives are offered in both semesters in Year 2, providing students with an opportunity to focus on specific areas of interest. There is a strong emphasis on Business Technology throughout the course.

What follow-on study opportunities are available?

Graduates of the Level 6 Higher Certificate in Business are eligible to progress into Year 3 of the Level 7 Ordinary Degree, and then on to Year 4 of the Level 8 Honours Degree, specialising in either Business or Digital Marketing.

Graduates can also progress to the Bachelor of Business (Honours) course at SETU and are eligible for entry to business related degree courses in other third-level institutions.
