Introduction to studying Art and Design in Wexford
By studying in Wexford you are choosing a stimulating environment to develop as an artist or designer. Wexford Town is on the banks of the River Slaney and close to the Curracloe Beach. The town is a vibrant mix of old and new, from narrow winding streets and old town walls to contemporary award winning buildings. The Art course and the core Art and Design 1st year are based at the former Borough Council Buildings, Hill Street in the heart of the town, close to the Wexford Arts Centre, the Quayfront, railway station, music venues, cinemas and shops.
 
Studying in Wexford you will gain a strong sense of creative focus and significant understanding of place and context. By studying in a close creative community with your fellow students and staff at the Wexford Campus School of Art and Design you will develop and expand your creativity with the ability to sustain a unique art or design practice and world view.
 

 

Degree Courses

The Wexford Campus School of Art and Design offers Degree Courses at BA and BA (Hons) Levels. The courses are run by vibrant and dedicated staff who are acitve in research and practice, in art and design, in writing, criticism, curation, making and exhibiting their work, including public art and community-based art and design.
